Riverbend Gardens CSA Update

We’re planning and preparing for this new CSA season like crazy. We have been doing quite a bit of seeding already. Onions, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, bok choy, kohlrabi, kale, and Brussels sprouts need to be transplanted when they are about an inch tall. So right now all the seeds are planted and we have done the first watering, and now we wait. Soon the little green leaves will pop up and then they will grow and change daily. This is a really exciting time of year for us. It is a miracle every year what comes from a teeny tiny little seed. This year you will get to experience it with us! In terms of sales, we have sold a third of our goal! THANK YOU to all who have already made their purchases! This is very encouraging! Keep up the good work and thanks for all your support! To stay better connected to what we are doing on the farm, please like our facebook page, and follow us on twitter! https://twitter.com/RiverbendGarden https://www.facebook.com/RiverbendGardensYEG?ref=tn_tnmn

Why is CSA so Awesome?

You will receive fresh delicious quality veggies from a convenient awesome location every week. You will reap the benefits of fresh garden produce without all the gardening work! You will learn about your local seasonality, and how things are grown and produced in your local community. You will be supporting your local farmers and economy! Why do we love the CSA as farmers? We see minimal food waste! We get to connect to our consumers! We are seeing more effects of working together and having a community that supports each other. We are so thankful for all of your support! We could have not done this without you. Please, if you have not already, tell your friends about this CSA! We are a third of the way to our goal in sales!!, and need you to help us get there! This year as part of the CSA, you will be invited to our Open House so you have the opportunity to come out to the farm and see how it all happens. The date is still to be announced, but keep your eyes peeled. You will not want to miss this! There will be wagon rides through the farm, tours of the buildings, maybe you can even pick a few carrots to take home! Hope to see you all there. Please sign up here and forward this email on to all your friends!! http://www.riverbendgardens.ca/csa.html
